International Maritime Piolts Association Conference

The International Maritime Pilots' Association is a professional, non-profit organisation that is primarily concerned with promoting professional standards of pilotage worldwide in the interests of pilots’ safety.

Regular congresses are held in different parts of the world to which all member associations are invited. It is at these congresses that IMPA’s overall policy is decided.

In addition, they provide an ideal opportunity for the different member associations to report on their respective activities. They also provide a forum for invited speakers from both government and industry to brief participants about the latest technical developments at IMO and in other international fora impacting on pilotage standards and the safety of pilots in particular.
