Chocolate Week highlight planned for May Fair hotel

The May Fair hotel will host the headline event of Chocolate Week 2009 by staging a two-day showcase of top chocolatiers and manufacturers.

Chocolate Unwrapped will take place from 10-11 October. Visitors will be able to taste and buy chocolates, meet the chocolatiers, attend demonstrations and tastings, meet people from the growing countries and view chocolate sculptures and art.

Chocolate Week, now in its sixth year, aims to promote the art of making chocolate and encourages people to visit UK chocolate shops.

Tasting events will take place at chocolate shops throughout London as well as Harrods, Selfridges and Fortnum & Mason, whilst, chocolate-themed meals, cocktails and afternoon tea will be on offer at venues including Sam's Brasserie, the Sanderson and the London branches of Le Relais de Venise L'Entrecôte.

Tickets for Chocolate Unwrapped cost £12.50 in advance from The Ticket Factory or £15 on the door at the May Fair hotel. Chocolate Week is sponsored by partners including Hotel Chocolat, Thornton's and Divine Chocolate.
