Farnborough International Airshow

The 60th anniversary of the Farnborough International Airshow looks set to be the biggest event ever in the event's history.

Farnborough International, the show’s organiser says that exhibition sales have been at record levels, almost 20% higher than in 2006.

The total number of exhibitors expected at the event from 14-20 July is likely to be more than 1,500, a 5% increase on the last show.

The exhibition hall has had to be extended whilst outdoors, never before used areas have had to be opened up and made accessible to exhibitors.

World-class aerospace companies such as Boeing, Goodrich, GKN and GE Aviation have taken large pavilions, while BAE Systems is the inaugural exhibitor in the site’s new FIVE conference and events venue.

Exhibition and Events Director Amanda Stainer said: “I'm extremely pleased with the progress of this year’s Airshow. Our intention has always been to build on the success of the 2006 event and to ensure that this year’s show delivers an incomparable business service for our exhibitors and their customers, ensuring that they can gain maximum benefit and opportunity from attending."
