Innocent's Village Fete returns to Regent’s Park

Innocent Village Fete

The Innocent Village Fete will be returning to London’s Regent’s Park on 02 and 03 August. Sledge, the experiential agency behind the concept, has revealed what visitors can expect from the festival.

The two-day family orientated event will host a farmer's market and live music from artistes including The James Taylor Quartet and The Ukulele Orchestra. Visitors will be able to enjoy music from the Acoustic Bandstand and dance in the Al Fresco Ballroom. Activities for children will include a petting zoo, food stalls and rides.

Sledge Sales and Marketing Director Ian Irving said: "We're working with brands that share Innocent's values and ethos. Hunter for example will be using their Wellington boots to create a 'welly coconut shy'. The new Spoken Word area, sponsored by publisher 4th Estate will be home to poetry, open mic sessions, word comedy and word play."

There will also be:

  • Picnic areas
  • A knitting tent
  • Arts and craft
  • Massages
  • A cake tent hosted by the Women's Institute
  • A vegetable tent

Innocent Head of Communications Charlotte Rawlins said: "We're really excited about this year's fete. More than 50,000 people enjoyed a family day out with us in the sunshine last year, with traditional English fete pursuits such as ferret racing, dog agility and duck herding. The idea behind the fete was to bring a little bit of summer countryside to the heart of London and we're building on last year's success to make this year's fete even better."

Tickets cost £7.50 for adults and £3.50 for children and are available here. The Innocent Village Fete is a non-profit making event that supports Wellchild, Friends of the Earth and Samaritans.
