Visit London’s Severine Ougier competes in Flora London Marathon

Severine Ougier

Visit London Business Marketing Manager Severine Ougier is aiming to raise £1,500 for the Multiple Sclerosis Trust by running this year's Flora London Marathon.

Sunday 26 April will be Ougier's first marathon. Training began in the French Alps over Christmas and she has been working hard ever since to prepare for the 26.2 mile race. In 1995, Ougier's dad was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She said: "As a fairly stubborn "mountain goat", and despite some partial paralysis, my dad has for the last few years been working towards achieving his life-time dream – re-building a 100-year old house in the French Alps, most of it on his own. A colossal project, which for a former architect is, I guess, the pinnacle of a life-long dream. Running a marathon was never one of my dreams. But after seeing those around me achieve their dreams despite physical impairments, and seeing what other people do to support them, I have decided it's my turn to act."
