Visit London's Only in London campaign was launched to the meetings and events industry at IMEX on 26 May.
A 360-degree experience on the Visit London exhibition stand enabled visitors to see, touch, hear, taste and smell unique aspects of London. "London at your fingertips" – a full-on sensory experience combining Way2GoGuides' audio technology and a 50-inch touch screen highlighted the many unique and unusual venues as well as activities only on offer in the UK capital.
The on-stand touch screen showed an interactive map of the city highlighting all 23 Visit London stand partners including Europe's largest arts and cultural centre, Barbican, and the recent host of the G20 summit, ExCeL London.
The "London at your fingertips" sensory stand experience was supported by the launch of the "Inspiration 100" business list. The list of 100 different activities and unusual venues has been created to inspire business visitors about what they can do "only in London".
Examples of activities only possible in London include meeting in the crypt of Sir Christopher Wren's St Paul's Cathedral in the morning and then enjoying a few delicious cocktail drinks at the tip of Sir Norman Foster's gherkin-shaped iconic "30 St Mary Axe" in the evening.
Commenting on the campaign, Visit London Marketing Manager Séverine Ougier said: "London has so many unique and unusual aspects, and with the competitive Euro pound exchange, there has never been a better time to experience the UK capital."
