Power 50 league table recognises London talent

Power 50

Visit London has dominated the rankings of UK Conference & Incentive Travel magazine’s Power 50.

Three members of the business and events team have been voted onto the 2008 league table of industry powerbrokers – more than any other single organisation.

Commercial Director David Hornby has achieved Visit London’s highest ranking at number four. UK Sales and Event Solutions Manager Zanine Adams charts at 44, and Head of Association Sales Becky Graveney is a new entry at 49, credited with driving association business for the UK capital.

Readers of C&IT magazine initially voted with a panel of industry peers judges putting together the final annual Power 50 rankings. This year, Barclays Head of Events Sarah Wright, C&I Head of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Penny Carter and Kathleen O’Flynn, London’s Director of MICE Sales for Hilton Hotels were amongst the judges.

The Power 50 was unveiled on 31 March at Brown’s Hotel in Mayfair. Motivcom Executive Director Nigel Cooper retained the top position for a second year. Visit London partners ranked in the top ten include International Confex Event Director Duncan Reid (5) and ExCeL London Managing Director Conference and Events Vanessa Cotton (8).
