Top London restaurants dine al fresco for Taste

Taste of London

Taste of London hosted 40 of the capital's top restaurants for a festival of gastronomic delights in Regent's Park in June.

Restaurants including Le Gavroche, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, China Tang, Canteen and Café Anglais served up signature dishes in sample sizes to around 47,000 visitors.

Michelin starred chefs including Tom Aikens, Angela Hartnett and Gary Rhodes were also on hand to show off their culinary skills.

Taste of London is sponsored by British Airways and organised by Brand Events and Channel 4.

Features at this year's annual London festival included the Taste Theatre, where chefs and food writers held demonstrations and tastings.

New to the 2008 event was Taste of China – a culinary journey through China showcasing the nation's best food, drink, destinations, arts and entertainment.

UK 2008 Taste Festivals have taken place in Edinburgh, Leeds, Dublin, and Cork. Taste of Bath runs from 3-6 July and Taste of Birmingham takes place from 10-13 July.
