'Tasty reasons' guide to organising events in London launched

Tasty reasons to organize events in London

A food-themed guide to organising events in the capital was launched at this year's Motivation Show in Chicago.

Visit London presented 'Tasty reasons to organize events in London' to the North American meetings and events industry on its stand on 24 September.

The guide introduces eight chapters of information on London's gourmet offerings, with sections as diverse as:

  • Food to motivate
  • Food to impress
  • Food out of hours

It also includes a London food-related events calendar and an exclusive gourmet map of the capital. The map shows everything from the best in Caribbean cooking in Notting Hill to Turkish fare in London's trendy Hackney area.

Chris FJ Lynn, Sales Manager North America & Long Haul for Visit London said: "It is an informative and highly entertaining publication which will be an invaluable tool for any event planner or business visitor. The guide gives the latest information and insight into the crème de la crème of London's restaurants, food markets and banquet halls. It provides all the right ingredients and information to create the perfect event in London."

The guide also features a number of historic Royal palaces, showcasing some of London's most iconic historic venues such as the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kew Palace and Kensington Palace. These venues can all be hired as unique private dining spaces.

"We wanted to showcase London's amazing meetings and events offering from an entirely different perspective," said Visit London Business Marketing Manager Séverine Ougier. "By suggesting inspiring examples of food-related experiences by event type and objective - whether it's to impress, motivate or entertain clients - we're helping North American planners make their next event in London one that would be remembered forever."
