Opened in June 2006 in the heart of Camden Stables Market, Gilgamesh offers a unique Eastern gastronomic and entertainment experience. Gilgamesh is a restaurant, bar, lounge and traditional teahouse all under one roof. The restaurant is operated by Ian Pengelley and serves an array of the pan-Asian speciality dishes. The restaurant boasts a spectacular 40ft high ceiling with a fully retractable roof. A sake sommelier is on hand to advise diners of the 30 different varieties available. The building houses a traditional Chinese tearoom complete with tea ceremonies and authentic Asian teacakes, as well as a sushi bar and VIP lounge with hanging chairs.
